Jeep Gladiator
Research Hub

the Jeep Wrangler with the utility and practicality of a pickup bed. It stands out in the segment thanks to its rugged design, removable doors and roof, and strong four-wheel-drive systems. Built on a stretched Wrangler platform, the Gladiator retains solid front and rear axles, making it one of the most off-road capable trucks available.
Powering the Gladiator is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine producing 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. It comes paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard four-wheel drive. The Max Tow package boosts its towing capacity up to 7,700 pounds, while payload capacity reaches up to 1,725 pounds depending on the trim and configuration. Though a diesel option was previously available, the 2025 model is expected to focus solely on the gasoline V6.
Inside, the Gladiator features a spacious interior with comfortable seating for five and plenty of clever storage options. The rear seat can fold flat or flip up to reveal lockable storage bins. A large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard across all trims, along with Jeep's latest Uconnect 5 software for improved speed and customization.
Where the Gladiator truly excels is off the pavement. Trims like the Rubicon and Mojave come with locking differentials, Fox shocks, and specialized off-road gear. These features make it a serious choice for trail riders and overlanders. However, its on-road ride can feel bouncy, and fuel economy is average for the class.
The Jeep Gladiator is ideal for buyers seeking a unique, trail-ready pickup that offers true Jeep character along with real truck utility, making it a rare and capable option in today's midsize truck market.
